Fun Night at the USA vs England Game!

Friday night we made a quick trip to England to watch the US Women's National team play a friendly against England.  We flew to London to get there which is only a 45 minute flight from Amsterdam. The game was north of London at Milton Keynes.

It was a nice stadium.  The area around the stadium was new and unbelievably had a McDonalds, KFC, & even a Fridays.  We ate at Pizza Express, a chain we had eaten at before in London.  We enjoy the dough ball formaggi appetizer there.

At the stadium, FIFA had the Women's World Cup trophy for people to see.  They took your picture and then printed it out for you at no charge.

Tickets for the actual game were not expensive at all.  Adults were 5 pounds and kids 2.5 pounds. There were a little over 14,000 in attendance that night.  There were some Americans, but not that many.  We were close to the field right near where Alex Morgan scored her goal!  Grace also caught a ball that went out of play.  Too bad you don't get to keep the ball when that happens!  USA won 1-0.  It was a great night.
